SSF Seaside Reef Beach Takeover

For this year's Solento Surf Festival we added an epic beach day takeover and surf competition at the iconic Seaside Reef. Locals and legends competed in a series of four surf competitions, with the best of one wave format.

The Contest

THE COUNTDOWN CUP
The Countdown will challenge Surfers to showcase their diverse abilities on 4 different fin set-ups. 

FIRE VS WATER
North County's Lifeguards' and Firefighters' best surfers go head-to-head in a tag team competition. 
   
THE PARTY WAVE
One Wave, Unlimited Surfers, First to the beach.

Two lucky entrants were selected. One for Mick Fanning's Team and the other on Kalani Robb's Team! Mick and Kalani acted as their personal coach for the PARTY WAVE and they got to ride and keep a Mick Fanning Softboard and Catch Surf.

The surf contest and beach day at Seaside was one for the books. With an estimated 1,500 attendees throughout the day people were able to enjoy surfing, food, live music, drinks and activations all within steps of the sand.
