SSF Florida Recap
What a weekend! Just like that our first Solento Surf Festival Florida presented by The Flow Trip has come and gone. We can’t thank the community enough for welcoming us! We had such a good time at Savor Cinema with friends both old and new.
Friday
Night 1 was such a warm welcome! The energy from the crowd was awesome and we were just stoked to be in Fort Lauderdale.
A few highlights:
- A fun, vibey performance by locally based, The Floridians
- A touching story about keeping the stoke alive with The Granny Grommets
- A panel with the legendary Lisa Andersen! Thank you so much for hanging with us and sharing your stories
- An incredible story of Tom Lowe's resiliency, character and insane big wave surfing in Let Me Live
- And finally, North Stars! An unforgettable story of a life’s surfing journey featuring Adrien Toyon
Saturday
Night 2 continued the fun — with more amazing music and films, we were sad it was already coming to an end.
A few highlights:
- A good-time party by guys in Camp Blu
- A fast-paced edit in Horse featuring the extremely talented Noa Deane
- An intimate portrayal of the unstoppable Becca Speak — we are so inspired by you and your journey
- A panel with the Ryan Huckabee. An amazing surfer and person — thanks for sharing your film, Huck, and talking story with us
- Last but not least, Nø_Way. An epic tale featuring Harrison Roach and company
One last ‘thank you’ to our sponsors, the filmmakers, and the athletes involved. We’d also love to take a moment to extend a thanks to our Solento team, all the volunteers, and the people behind Savor Cinema — we couldn’t have done it without you all!
