The top 16 scores will progress.
Round 2: Surfers will ride a thruster of their choosing and will only be allowed to catch one wave.
The top 8 scores will progress.
Semifinal: Surfers will ride a twin fin of their choosing in a 30 minute heat with no wave limit.
The top 4 single wave scores will progress.
Final: The final 4 surfers will ride a single fin of their choosing in a 30 minute heat with no wave limit. The top single wave score will be crowned the winner of the Countdown Cup.
